Study program Biology:


Module Immunology I:

The module Immunology I consists of the lecture "Introduction to Immunology" (2 SWS) and an associated literature seminar "Introduction to Immunology". 5 ECTS points are only assigned for the entire module. Attendance of only one part will not be rewarded with ECTS points.

Successful participation in the lecture series will be documented in a written multiple-choice exam (in English). Participation in the literature seminar will be evaluated in an oral presentation of a selected mile stone publication in the field of Immunology (provided by the supervisor). Biweekly participation in the literature seminar is mandatory and will be documented.

Both courses will be held at WZW during the summer terms. Online video conference based lecture series and literature seminar are currently implemented due to Corona restrictions. Registration is possible 1-2 months before the start of the course on TUMonline. There are no admission requirements.


Study program Biochemistry:


            The module “Immunology I” is rewarded with 6 ECTS and consists of the lecture “Introduction to Immunology” and a 1-week practical course.

Lecture "Introduction to Immunology"

The lecture "Introduction to Immunology" (2 SWS) can be taken as an elective course in the Bachelor program. Successful participation in the lecture series will be documented in a written multiple-choice exam (in English) The lecture series is held at WZW only during the summer semester. Registration is possible 1-2 months before the start of the course on TUMonline. There are no admission requirements.


Practical course in immunology for students of biochemistry:

The compulsory practical course consists of a 1-week practical course with a final written exam on the last day of the practical course. This course is only held during the winter semester break (but may be shifted to the following summer term, if necessary due to Corona restrictions). The practical course is held at the Institute of Medical Microbiology, Trogerstrasse 30, 81675 Munich. Registration is possible 1-2 months before the start of the course on TUMonline.

Study program Bioprocess Engineering:
