Johanna Ertl is studying medicine in the eighth semester at the Klinikum rechts der Isar (MRI). At the moment she is writing her doctoral thesis at the Institute for Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene, where she is working on the development of new drugs against human schistosomiasis, together with her supervisor Dr. rer. nat. Fabien Ulrich Prodjinotho.
Since her parents own a farm near Memmingen, she loves hiking, doing sports in nature, and taking her two dogs for a walk outside the village.
