Infection and Immunity in Global Health
We believe that as an interdisciplinary team, we can contribute to the pursuit of achieving well-being for all by integrating basic science and novel technologies into the global health agenda and thus address urgent global health challenges. To achieve this, we work with partners from the global south in large, interdisciplinary consortia.

Novel Technologies
The development of novel tools and processes is key to the elimination of many infectious diseases. Health technologies include ‘devices, medicines, vaccines, procedures, and systems’. We approach this through innovation and implementing cutting-edge technologies to address global health challenges with the aim of democratizing access to these technologies. More info...
AMR and novel drugs
Drug-resistant pathogens are a serious global threat to our health. The drivers of drug resistance in bacteria and in parasites are manifold and include environmental pollutants, bad quality drugs, and untargeted mass-drug administration. Understanding their contribution to the development and spread of drug resistance is at the core of the research conducted in this space. More info...
